Power Floated Concrete Floors
Bringing the Cream to the Top: Professional Power Floating Services
Power floated concrete floors are mechanically finished using rotating blade machines to create smooth, dense surfaces suitable for heavy industrial use without additional toppings.
The process brings that cement cream to the surface, creating an extremely dense, smooth finish that can handle heavy traffic, forklifts, and industrial use for decades.

We typically achieve surface regularity of SR1 or SR2 to BS 8204, with excellent abrasion resistance. The finish eliminates the need for additional toppings in most applications, saving clients significant cost and programme time.
Timing is critical with power floated concrete. If you begin power floating too early, when the concrete is still too wet, the blades will tear and damage the surface instead of smoothing it. If you wait too long, the concrete will set too much. The surface becomes too hard for the blades to bring up cement cream and achieve proper densification. You get a weak, dusty surface that won’t perform.
Our in-house line and boom pumps ensure consistent concrete placement and optimal conditions for expert power floating – complete concrete flooring solutions delivered by one team.
Key advantages of a power floated concrete floor
Power floated floors deliver exceptional durability with minimal maintenance requirements. They offer excellent chemical resistance and are ready for immediate trafficking once cured. These floors are ideal for warehouse floors, manufacturing facilities, and distribution centres where downtime isn’t an option.
